Really enjoyed reading this well researched study of an amazing group of people whose history has rarely been examined. Obviously, these hearty ancestors had neither time nor wherewithal for writing journals and publishing the history of their struggles. So grateful that Dr. Bosch put forth the effort to record these events and statistics for posterity. These people were truly admirable, and embody the concept of survival against all odds.Product details

Piece of my family history--grateful to have this information.
Since German-Russians are part of my heritage, I find this history very interesting.
This book is really interesting. Bought as a Christmas gift for someone who had German-Russian . Thinking I might want to buy another one as I one side of my family were German Russians also.
Good history, easy to understand and interesting pictures. A good foundational read if you are German Russian.
I am seriously interested in my back ground, this book is yet another piece in that puzzle. I love getting everything at one place.
My wife's family history is of the same German people who immigrated from Russia to North Dakota. This is a very informative read covering the many circumstances and hardships from the trip over to settling into a new life.
I was trying to add to my knowledge of the Volga and Black Sea German history, because I am both. If I could have seen the entire book, I would not have I bought it. I saw some new pics, but not much more.
